We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role you will:
- Work as part of Global API and Core Services team, with responsibility for API Design, aligned to value streams.
- Collaborate with API Service Architects/Solution architects to understand API standards and solution design and produce API design as per the established API best practice & design/development principles
- Work with Global Enterprise/Solution Architects to review end-to-end technical design.
- Review/Ensure the technical design is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations
- Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management
- Provide professional consultancy/support immediately for application teams’ queries/requests
- APD (API Product Design) and ATD (API Technical Design) documentation per API required to support dedicated Value Stream outcomes (supporting all functional and non-functional requirements for all APIs for each VS outcome)
- Deliver reliable robust resilient and secure software solutions meeting strict operational specifications on a timely basis
- Define application data and resource model such that the operations and relationships between resources are easily understood.
- Exhibit critical thinking leading to driving out efficient solutions capable of solving complex business requirements
- Metadata submissions per API to support API discovery
- Responsible for ALL APIs to be published with supporting documentation to our strategic API discovery tools, including Exchange.
- Collaboration on QA test case generation to support efficient and timely testing of APIs
- Ongoing support to Engineering teams to resolving queries during PI lifecycle
- Work with SAPI / Platform teams to ensure analysis is validated against system constraints/future states/standards
- Regularly attend the WPB API Working Group to keep up to date with API Design standards
- Regularly attend the API Product Design Working Group to ensure product level design decisions are consistent across Value streams.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Proficient skills in Java, Spring Framework, Web Service, JSON, RAML;Mule
- Very good Knowledge and experience of Microservice, Restful API standards/principles, API Design, Data modelling, RAML/OAS and JSON Schema.
- Solution Design/Solution architecture experience, should be able to understand the end to end architecture and solution of the largescale/complex projects.
- Knowledge or experience in Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) and API design with implementation experience on any ESB tools (e.g. IIB , Mule, MQ, SpringBoot)
- Agile and scrum methodology
- Strong communication, presentation & influencing skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments
- Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
- Financial systems and banking
- Experience with Splunk and App dynamics for monitoring
- Amazon AWS cloud platforms with Kubernetes
- Event driven design and architecture
- JIRA and confluence
Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
