We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Vice President  - Data and Analytics.

Principal responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Translate HSBC's business strategies into clear objectives for the team, aligning projects with overall business goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across multiple locations, ensuring they have the skills and resources to succeed.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of high-quality information management and analytical solutions to existing clients/engagements.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Business Acumen: Understand key business goals and priorities, and translate them into actionable goals for specific business partners.
  • Innovation & Change: Drive innovation and transformation within the team, encouraging new approaches and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor and enhance business processes, enforce compliance, and proactively manage risks.
  • Cost Management: Support and execute cost improvement strategies.
  • Consulting Culture: Cultivate a consulting mindset within the team, identifying opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and acquire new ones.
    Requisitos
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data analytics, CRM, or a related field.
    • Bachlor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.  A post-graduation degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience leading and managing a sizable data analytics teams, with a track record of building high-performance and efficient data / analytics / campaign and management units.
    • Experience driving large-scale change and transformation programs.
    • Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude and a solid understanding of financial services/banking operations.
    • Proficiency in programming tools such as Python, SAS, SQL, and/or PySpark.
    • Solid understanding of Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP), data modeling, and data quality assessment and control.
    • Ability to comprehend and solve complex business problems using limited or complex data.
    • Experience with Agile/iterative processes in project tracking and reporting (e.g., JIRA/Confluence).
    • Enthusiasm for exploring and developing use cases for new data, tools, and industry trends.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop end-to-end solutions.

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
