We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
1. Database Administration & Performance Optimization
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB databases.
• Support DevOps teams in monitoring and optimizing query performance, indexing, and execution plans.
• Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Manage database backups, restores, and recovery strategies.
• Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks and issues to management.
• Implementing changes in production servers in tight schedule with utmost quality.
2. Infrastructure Management
• Collaborate with architects, developers, project managers to deliver suitable infrastructure solution which can cope with the business need.
• Automate database provisioning, scaling, and maintenance using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize storage, memory, and compute resources for database servers.
• Weekend/overnight/production support work may be required according to project release, vulnerability patching schedule and Live Drill Production support
3. Security & Compliance
• Enforce database security policies (TDE, RBAC, auditing, encryption).
• Apply security patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS regulations.
4. Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• Set up database monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, deadlocks, and connectivity problems.
• Maintain capacity planning for future growth.
Requisitos
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• 4-6 years of relevant experience as a DBA, Database Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and Application architects particularly in banking domain.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.
• Ability to develop simple/complex shell scripts as per requirements.
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux server administration.
• Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the external cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge in respective technology.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
