The Managed Accounts Team Lead is a key role that, as a member of the HSBC Securities Wealth Middle Office, provides servicing for HSBC Wealth customers in managed money products in achievement and alignment with the segment objectives. The role holder will provide support and guidance as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the business line in the resolutions of multiple functions including, but not limited to, the operations oversight of Managed Account products offered through IWPB (International wealth and personal banking) The role holder should be familiar with Wealth product sets and execution processes, including but not limited to; Advisory accounts and programs, and securities such as Equities, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, and ETFs (exchange traded funds).

As our Managed Accounts Team Lead you will:

  • Act as a SME (Subject matter expert) around Brokerage Advisory Accounts and products including Spectrum, Offshore Spectrum, and MPA (Master of Public Administration).  The role will require the understanding of processes and ability to effectively communicate requirements needed for specific transactions. Successful administration will alleviate financial, market, regulatory and reputational risk to the firm
  • Foster and maintain a close relationship with supporting areas and business partners, not limited to: WRMs (Wealth relationship manager), Regulatory and Financial Crimes Compliance, AML (Anti money Laundering), Legal, Tax, Wealth Middle Office, External Vendors as well as the WPB (Wealth Personal Banking) branch network
  • Provide ongoing operational support, raising issues and concerns to management while devising solutions to better streamline processes and improve the customer experience
  • Receive, review, and analyze a variety of reports and documents for accuracy and follow up with appropriate key areas to ensure adherence to bank guidelines
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of activities, processes, and brokerage related systems.  Work closely with other Wealth Ops areas to gain a basic comprehension of procedures for cross departmental functions
  •  Be able to function in a fast-paced environment where needs and requirements may change rapidly, all while staying organized and paying attention to detail, avoiding Firm monetary, regulatory and reputational risk
  • Liaise with the Front Office in the coordination of multiple varieties of transactions including but not limited to: Fund and Model Changes, asset movements, liquidations and terminations to ensure that issues involving timeliness are addressed and actioned appropriately, and any gaps are escalated to management
  • Work with internal and external vendors during times of program changes, updates or new offerings to ensure operational processes are properly followed and documented for record keeping and audit purposes

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $73,400 and $110,100.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

  You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum of three years proven experience in Wealth Management Sales support / Middle-Office Operations and or related or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, related field, or equivalent experience
  • FINRA Series 7, 63
  • Working knowledge of banking and brokerage operations, Securities products, as well as external regulations impacting activities with a concentration related to advisory products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Planning, organization, prioritization and time management skills are paramount
  • Capability to take ownership of tasks through to completion and provide direction to other members of the team
  • Collaborative and ability to work autonomously while owning escalated items that arise
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant brokerage/mainframe systems
