We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Marketing Planning.

Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role)

We are seeking a Manager, Marketing Planning to support our global marketing initiatives within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role is focused on assisting with the development and execution of marketing plans that align with business priorities.

This role will help ensure that marketing aligns with the bank’s global priorities and demonstrates clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a marketing operations leader who thrives on data, strategy, and cross-functional execution.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)

In this role you will:

Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Support the marketing planning process for CIB, ensuring alignment with business goals and growth opportunities
  • Assist in translating commercial objectives into actionable marketing initiatives, identifying necessary resources and expected outcomes
  • Help coordinate the marketing calendar and campaign roadmap across various client segments and product lines

Budget & Investment Management

  • Provide support in managing the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively
  • Assist in evaluating marketing performance and channel efficiency through investment models
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Management to support forecasts and ROI frameworks

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing regular reports for senior marketing and business leadership
  • Work with data and analytics teams to support the establishment of KPIs and benchmarks for marketing initiatives

Governance, Process & Operational Excellence

  • Support governance and operational processes across marketing planning and execution
  • Assist in promoting the use of best-in-class tools and methodologies within the marketing function
  • Ensure marketing teams have access to necessary data and insights for effective execution

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Collaborate with Business and Client/Sector Marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies and business alignment
  • Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement
  • Advocate for Agile Principles and support an Agile way of working within the team
  • Promote the organization’s values and contribute to a diverse environment reflecting the HSBC brand
Requisitos

Functional Knowledge

To be successful you will need:

  • Some experience in marketing operations or planning roles within a financial service or B2B environment
  • Familiarity with marketing planning and performance reporting
  • Understanding of the institutional banking landscape and related product lines
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of marketing KPIs and business metrics
  • Experience in complex organizations and collaboration across business and marketing leadership
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present insights to stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred
