Manager Performance & Effectiveness, IWPB UAE & Middle East will provide support to manage a range of business performance, effectiveness and support a range of priorities across the country, framing and contributing to key strategic decisions and handling the day-to-day tactical issues as required.
In this role you will:
• Prepare and analyse business performance information across a broad range of areas in UAE & Middle East IWPB. This will include but not limited to the measurement of performance and effectiveness of countries, businesses, channels, products, sales, customer and key strategic pillars.
• Support preparation of insights to the Head of IWPB Middle East and UAE IWPB Operating Committee to drive business performance, highlighting risks and opportunities and ensuring alignment to strategy and business plans.
• Prepare regular sales reporting for UAE IWPB business summarising performance versus plan, and highlighting areas of improvement.
• Produce the UAE IWPB Sales and Staff Performance dashboard across channels
• Support preparation of Employee Banking Services (EBS) revenue reporting including monthly submission of EBS client list and production of the EBS dashboard detailing revenue by client, global business and country.
• Support preparation of management review material / decks that provide insights to IWPB performance. This includes but is not limited to Performance Dashboards, Market Performance Meetings (MPM) and CEO Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
• Support on activities related to Distribution Operating Plan (DOP) for UAE.
• Support on managing and interpreting ad-hoc data, market research, customer insights and business information to drive performance.
• Support, as required, on ad hoc projects, including strategic reviews and support the region / markets in their response to Group initiatives.
• Provision of detail for global / entity governance papers and briefing notes.
• Continuously reassess the operational risks associated with the role.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
• Proven experience in performance management, business management or commercial execution roles within financial services, preferably in retail or wealth banking.
• Strong analytical skills - able to critically consider information from several sources, identify material issues and articulate and present a well-reasoned business case within defined and challenging timeframes.
• Experience in analyzing financial and non-financial KPIs to drive business performance and support decision making.
• Ability to extract, interpret and present data insights using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with operational risk and control frameworks in a regulated banking environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of banking products, preferably in retail or wealth banking.
• Proven experience in delivery of major projects with limited direct resources and reporting.
• The ability to undertake desk research to support decision making and to spot opportunities.
• A self-starter who can stay one step ahead and to understand future needs and requirements.
