HSBC Global Trade Solutions (GTS) is one of the largest trade services organisations in the world, offering a comprehensive range of forward-thinking supply chain and traditional trade solutions for CIB clients. Transaction Risk Management (TRM) is an integral risk control and management team within GTS.  Objective of TRM to provide effective oversight on portfolio for product risk that emerges from solutions provided to working capital financing requirement. TRM manages such risk by proactively reviewing accounts /structures, evaluate transactional level risks as well frequently conducting portfolio reviews. TRM is core team within GTS’s risk management strategy as risk function within first line of defense.
We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join our Transaction Risk Management Team.

In this role, you will:
•    Contribute to conducting risk monitoring process that are based on generic written process notes or designed specifically for facilities. These can include (but are not limited to) validation of invoices, monitoring facilities against approval conditions, monitoring status of and reasons for loans not repaid on due date and reconciliation of customer’s account receivables. The purpose of each review would be to highlight exceptions and outliers in a timely manner.
•    Provide summaries for annual facility renewals on account conduct and any outliers.
•    Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve queries, provide information and to escalate transactions for apparent outliers requiring additional scrutiny, control or approval as Level 1 officer.  
•    Conduct valuations and publication of valuation checks such as notional exposure monitoring, mark to market, asset valuations using market price data, etc.
•    Participate in regional, global and local initiatives and projects related to risk management as assigned from time to time by TRM management.  Support unit head in timely highlighting and managing risks on pro-active basis. 
•    Prepare management information report using excel / data preparation tools with analysis articulating risks and proposing actionables. 
•    Finding continuous process efficiencies while maintaining quality outputs.

 

Requisitos

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
•    Related experience in trade finance division in banks is highly preferred
•    Moderate to advance knowledge of trade finance and working capital products.
•    Comfortable with data management including collecting, organizing, summarizing big datasets into understandable business summary for effective discussion and decision making. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills i.e. Comfortable in writing up notes and presenting to peers and senior stakeholders that clearly articulates background, pre-text, proposal, analysis done, action or status.
•    Ability to independently drive initiative i.e. taking ownership and demonstrate “can do” attitude and delivery within tight deadlines.  
•    Collaborative approach to influence colleagues by active listening, consulting and coaching. 
•    Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures to support dynamic business environment. 
•    Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
