Manager – Treasury, Tax, Controls and Projects (0000LFPN)

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Manager – Treasury, Tax, Controls and Projects – Bahrain.

You will be a part of a small but important team in Bahrain and critical to the success of the Bahrain entity. Your primary responsibilities will include – Monitoring and managing all Treasury Finance related activities, ensuring compliance with Tax requirements along with managing overall Finance risks/controls and supporting projects. A flexible and creative approach will be required. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for all Treasury Finance related activities including managing the liquidity and funding requirements of the bank (LCR/NSFR) in addition to IRRBB requirements (EVE, NII sensitivity).
•    Managing end to end Treasury related policies (E.g. – FTP/LP/structural hedging).
•    Tax compliance and minimizing Tax liability. Liaising with the Tax regulatory authorities.  
•    Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
•    Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same.
•    Collaborate across teams to enhance data accuracy, profitability insights, and financial governance.
•    Support projects aligned to finance transformation, tax compliance, and financial frameworks.
•    Take an active role in the annual Financial Resource Planning process with local and regional teams.
•    Support the CFO to drive performance and maximize business growth. 
•    Deputize the CFO as and when needed. 

Requisitos

Experience and Qualifications:

•    Professionally qualified - Chartered Accountant/CFA preferred.
•    Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in ALCM/Treasury and Finance and overall post qualification experience of 9 years. 
•    Proven leadership skills to provide oversight of and development of teams.
•    Strong knowledge of HSBC Group and products preferred.
•    Strong understanding of Finance as well as Business. 
•    Strong MI and analytical skills. 
•    High level of drive and motivation and ability to solve problems
•    Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
