We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Manager US Compliance Services Governance and Support

Role purpose:

The Enterprise Compliance team in Mexico provides direct support to the US Compliance function which enables the business to deliver sustainable growth by embedding a risk management culture to comply with letter and spirit of relevant regulations to deliver fair outcomes for customers.

You’ll support the US Compliance team and the Compliance Risk Management Program (CRMP) within the Enterprise Compliance function. This role will support the US Ethics team in enterprise-wide compliance activities in the following areas (not limited to): Whistleblower; Personal Account Dealing (including Outside Business Activities (OBAs) and Private Investments (PIs)) Conduct; Regulation O, Political Contribution activities.

Main activities:

  • Lead activities unique to the Enterprise Compliance function, supporting the broader Compliance function and beyond.
  • Support the execution of the annual State of Compliance initiative.
  • Track Compliance-related training courses, assignments, and completion rates. Support training reconciliation and the Learning Needs Analysis process. Coordinate closely with the US Learning team.
  • Support the evaluation of High-Risk Role training assignments, including the annual attestation process.
  • Support internal and external exam preparation and response.
  • Promote and sustain a risk-management culture in alignment with Compliance's role as the 2LoD.
  • Track the resolution of subsequent risk management actions as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requisitos
  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently while influencing stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including organizing and running meetings.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulated justifications.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems.
  • Strong knowledge of HSBC’s structure and business units.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable working in a major financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally.
  • Proficiency in English language.
