As part of the Syndicate Operations function within MSS Ops, the New Issue Syndicate Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the issuance of HSBC Structured Notes program to ensure the booking and documentation are complete and accurate in accordance with the regulatory requirement

As our New Issue Syndicate Operations Specialist  you will:

  • Supporting the Debt Capital Markets & Syndicate Operations Management pertaining to new issuance execution
  • Collaborating with Syndicate Desk and Global partners to ensure proper depository alignments of securities, with follow up and clearance on fails, and resolution of issues
  • Reviewing preliminary prospectuses and registration statements for accurate application/ assignment
  • Liaising and monitoring correspondence with trustees, transfer agents, depositories, and legal regarding completion of due diligence items to facilitate settlement
  • Facilitating Syndicate Reconciliations / Trade and Issuance Settlement Process for Registered, 144a and Reg S transactions
  • Responsible for security eligibility with DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation),  Euroclear and Clearstream
  • Tending to additional responsibilities, including but not limited to: Day Loan Calculations, Management of fund transfers, and participating in closing calls for new issuances
  • Apply judgment to operational situations in a fast-paced environment to drive progress
  • Identify potential financial risk to the bank and ensure proper resolution is achieved within the bank’s guidelines
  • Escalate as needed to whom necessary any issues that may cause financial loss to the bank or that could affect client relationships.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $98,400.00 and $147,600.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience in the asset class, with specific knowledge of Debt Capital Markets operations execution
  • Detailed understanding of documentation requirement and product lifecycle for products related to DCM and syndication programs
  • Knowledge of financial processing systems and accounting
  • Excellent analytical and PC skills, as well as a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to operate autonomously without direct supervision. Ability to analyze and make decisions quickly in the event of a problem
  • Seasoned written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with senior operational and trading management
  • Ability to manage a network of diverse stakeholders in person and remotely.
