We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will

  • Provide L2/L3 Production Support for Business-Critical Applications.
  • Work with development team to Analyze/Troubleshoot/debug the code for Incident resolution, Root cause analysis & implementing preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD Pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git & Ansible as well as perform production deployment regularly.
  • Perform Routine maintenance activities such as OS & Database Patching, backup & Recovery.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal & external audit points together with any issues raised by regulators
  • Drive Disaster Recovery, Data backup & restoration exercises as well as take accountability for Vulnerability Fixes.
  • Actively look for process improvements as well as automations for relevant use cases wherever possible using appropriate tools & technologies & maintain OKRs
  • Maintain Risk & Control / TRCB dashboards for control compliance and other IT Service Owner Related activities.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications to improve functionality and performance
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  •  Minimum 5 yrs experience in Production support role.
  • SQL/PLSQL - Hands on Experience in relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres. Able to analyze and fine tune database queries.
  • Scripting - Good Scripting knowledge for Linux/Unix Shell or Python
  • CI/CD – Experience building and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins, Git & Ansible
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Git, Bitbucket or any other version control tools for Code.
  • Experience with Control-M or similar job scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to monitoring platforms such as ITRS Geneos, Grafana, Prometheus etc
  • Should be an Expert in ITSM Change request, Incident & Problem management process with Hands on experience on Incident management tool like SNOW. Also needs to ensure HSBC best practice are followed during post Incident analysis, action identification and tracking.
  • Work in IN/UK shifts to monitor application and scheduled jobs. On rotation basis, provide support on weekends and on-call support after office hours.
  • Good communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate in the production/crisis calls. Aware of Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems - inputs based on business/operations requirements.
  • Good to have knowledge of Java, AWS, GCP.
