We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Delivery Management

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all phases of software releases across digital banking IT systems.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful and timely releases.
  •  Manage release calendars and communicate release plans, schedules, and status to stakeholders.
  •  Mitigate release risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, quality, and timelines.
  •  Maintain compliance with ITIL practices for change, incident, and problem management.
  •  Manage post-release reviews and continuous improvement of release processes.
  • Manage project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes·       Oversee the projects activities, including scope, schedule and resourcing.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to ensure project activities are aligned to wider programme objectives.
  • Work with the Programme management team to quantify controls uplifts, success criteria and risk reductions throughout project delivery.
  • As a Release Manager you will be the “Change facilitator” as well as “Gatekeeper to production” at the same time for all technical releases balancing the two and therefore must demonstrate a sense of urgency, commitment to quality and a high accountability for all deliverables, communications, and overall performance.
  • Lead end-to-end release ceremonies, such as Scope Evaluation, Go/No Go, retrospectives.
  • Own and maintain complex release calendars across several cross functional teams.
  • Communicate upcoming technical releases in a clear and digestible format to stakeholders.
  • Establish and adhere to governance processes and systems to ensure effective and efficient releases across the release lifecycle.
  • Work with Agile Delivery teams to review status, risks, dependencies, and issues associated with each project and utilize problem solving thinking to find alternative solutions.
  • Work with platform technical leads to define and assess the severity of every change going in a release and weigh the value vs risk of a change and seek necessary approvals from higher management to get the change moving on that basis
  • Present changes in various IT Change Management forums and clearly explain technical aspects and risks.
  • Organizing and managing cross functional deployment teams / resources to perform release deployment activities.
  • Continuously seek to improve and set best practices across the release management.
  • As a part of platform team member, get acquainted with platform features and other processes to improve release process so that the process compliments the platforms other pillars and improves platform in longer run by reducing vulnerabilities, risks and customer issues.
  • Act as an internal Agile Coach to multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Promote Agile values, principles, and best practices across delivery and stakeholder teams.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on agile roles, responsibilities, ceremonies, and tools.
  • Facilitate workshops and retrospectives to foster continuous learning and improvement.
  • Support Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) if adopted at the enterprise level
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Release Management or IT Delivery, ideally in banking or financial services.
  • 3+ years in Agile coaching or agile leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Proven experience with **Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)** and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on detail and delivery excellence.
  • Agile Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), ICAgile Certified Professional, etc.
  • ITIL Certification: ITIL Foundation or higher.
  • Release Management Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ServiceNow Release Management.
