With a reporting line to the Head of Business Control or team leader, this position, as a specialist individual contributor, will engage with all 3 line of defences internally and regulator externally and assist Risk and Control Senior Managers to ensure the consistent and effective implementation of the risk and control strategy as set out in the HSBC Operational Risk Management Framework and other related Group and Local policies.

This position will be tasked with FCR quality assurance, SQ quality assurance, Compliant case quality assurance for HSBC Life Insurance, as well as the risk and control monitoring related assignments directed by Risk and Control Senior Manager and team leaders.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  To carry out quality assurance procedures to ensure Financial Crime Risk 1st line controls are implemented in consistent with related Financial Crime Risk related policies and procedures.

  To carry out quality assurance procedures to ensure SQ controls are implemented in consistent with related SQ policies and procedures.

  To carry out quality assurance procedures to ensure complaint cases are handled in consistent with related complaint handling policies and procedures.

  To provide support to line manager in tasks assigned including but not limited to risk and control assessment, control testing or control monitoring activity checking; and etc.

  Keeping abreast of rapidly changing statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, assisting in the continual review and updating of processes to ensure that the highest standards of control and integrity are maintained.

  Understanding the continually changing needs of both external and internal customers.

  Good understanding of HSBC and how it works as it would be a steep learning curve for any external candidate.
