Risk

The Risk function, headed by the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), forms part of the second line of defence. The responsibility includes forward-looking risk identification and management and monitoring of the Bank’s risk profiles and It is independent from the first line to provide challenge and oversight to ensure proper balance in risk and return decisions.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

•    Responsible for setting up right risk appetite to ensure healthy and sustainable growth of retail lending portfolios.
•    Responsible for managing credit risks through full credit cycle to achieve risk reward balance.
•    Responsible for developing & calibrating analytical tools to dynamically manage credit risk of retail lending portfolios.
•    Responsible for reporting to appropriate governance forums & board on portfolio performance and risk assessment of retail lending portfolio.
•    Set up right Credit Risk Appetite for retail lending portfolios.
•    Develop analytical tools to dynamically manage credit risk of retail lending portfolios within HBCN risk appetite.
•    Monitor credit performance of lending portfolios, LICs reports, thresholds & caps.  Provide analysis and explain main variations on particular risk metrics.
•    Take appropriate and timely actions to ensure portfolio is performing within risk appetite.
•    Oversee that loss forecasting and provision model outputs are utilized effectively as part of credit risk management.
•    Timely implement effective controls according to regulations, as well as issues raised by internal and external audits.

Requisitos

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

University degree in a relevant discipline
At least 10 years' relevant working experience in retail risk management area.
Well-developed analytical skills. 
Broad knowledge of sector trends and regulatory environment
Strategic thinking.  Understanding risks and making decisions in highly complex situations where there are potentially major consequences for the business. 
Highly motivated mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively with various internal/external stakeholders to deliver assignments on time
Planning, organization skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people and effective communication
Experiences in working with auditors, regulators and compliance
