Investments and Wealth Solutions

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Wealth and Personal Banking customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment.  Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Business Manager.


Principle responsibilities

  • Provide governance and oversight of the end-to-end sales journey and suitability framework for investment products across Retail Wealth and Private Banking, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Design and enhance sales and conduct monitoring frameworks in collaboration with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams, tailored for different investment products and client segments.
  • Lead the coordination of the Sales & Conduct Working Group for investment products, including case investigations, issue remediation, and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor high-risk investment activities and abnormal transaction patterns. Perform data analysis to identify potential sales conduct issues and emerging risks.
  • Conduct gap analysis and apply read across assessments to evaluate compliance with HKMA/SFC regulations and HSBC internal policies. Maintain proactive awareness of relevant regulatory developments and policy changes.  
  • Support Investments and Wealth Solutions (IWS) business by providing business management and process governance, ensuring the effective execution of strategic initiatives and business activities.
Requisitos

Requirements

  • University graduate in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in banking and wealth management, with solid exposure to business management, sales process governance, investment product oversight, or conduct risk monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of investment product sales process, client suitability requirements, and regulatory expectations related to complex, sophisticated and ESG products.
  • Hands-on experience in sales and conduct monitoring, including the design of control frameworks and data-driven risk analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional forums or working groups. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across functions.
  • Deep understanding of HKMA and SFC regulatory requirements related to investment product sale, distribution, and customer suitability standards.
  • Familiarity with HSBC's internal FIM policies and governance frameworks is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data insights into practical governance solutions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
