We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Manager

Business - Wealth & Personal Banking, Insurance 

Principal responsibilities 

  • Lead the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of Global Insurance business priorities.
  • Lead commercial/financial initiatives for Global Insurance
  • Drive/support forums and committees to represent view of the Global Insurance business as a business subject matter expert (SME)
  • Analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes.
  • Lead/support for business approvals, marketing & training collateral for new products & features. Lead/support in the design of customer focused solutions that factor all customer needs and customer journeys. Bring the perspective of staff/colleagues in the design of relevant services & product features.
  • Proactively build key relationships with key stakeholders in Global Insurance, Technology and WPB. Adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures. Implement measures to contain compliance risk across Global Insurance. This will be achieved by liaising with compliance department about business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
  • Be a champion for the CoE team, develop networks and find ways to make the CoE increasingly effective, professional and high impact. Make decisions that protect and enhance HSBC values, reputation and business
Requisitos
  • Graduate / post-graduate degree
  • Strong experience in portfolio management and/or execution capabilities. Excellent organizational capabilities. Experience of team management is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile with strong experience in supporting/leading sprint planning & backlog management. Very strong experience of using Confluence/Jira & Clarity
  • Strong commercial mindset. Experience in business case preparation is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Data driven and result oriented with high level of attention to detail. Ability to influence & collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies & various Global Insurance & WPB teams
  • Strong experience in financial services industry. Knowledge in Insurance domain is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of the internal change framework, non-financial risk and the value stream operating model.
  • Ability to work proactively in a dynamic and changing environment, where competing priorities are expected as new opportunities arise
