We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. 

Business: SecSvcs Digital Assets Tech

Principal responsibilities

  • Participate, Develop, coordinate key initiatives, ensure all key enablers are delivered across the programme.
  • Develop, Support, across multiple technologies. Work to improve and build out new controls and improve resiliency overall.
  • Directly work with tech lead and together within the engineering team ensure that governance and goals are aligned, Outcomes are as expected.
  • Improve controls, Identify gaps and provide pro-active and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
  • Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects globally.
  • Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with business and relevant stakeholders.  Manage expectation of key stakeholders and work jointly to maximize interest of business and customers.
  • Partnership with the Tech Lead to own and drive the technology and delivery strategy and ambitions. 
  • Monitor the tech stack health and continuous improvement of the same.
Requisitos

Requirement

  • Minimal 10+ years’ experience of software developments with both water-Fall and Agile methodologies.      
  • Able to work under their own initiative, independently and with high octane.
  • Handle high pressure and able to support technical stack.
  • Able to adapt and pivot thoughts quickly.
  • A clear communicator with natural conversationalist.
  • Able to translate tech talk for a non tech audience
  • Able to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Able to listen and evaluate input from a diverse source and identify appropriate next steps.
  • Possess strong technical capabilities, knowledge and experience on DevOps, Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), Agile control Framework.
  • Familiar with Cloud Based Framework

Technical Skill 

  • Excellent hands-on experience with and not limited to open source languages as well as below.
  • Java 21, Servlets, JSP, REST/SOAP Web Services, JDBC, Spring/Springboot/Guice.
  • Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/Hudson /Teamcity, GIT/Stash.
  • Strong knowledge of using DB   : PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Able to debut large complex SQL and perform analysis and performance tuning.
  • Comfortable with both Windows, Linux, GIT, Ansible, Jenkins (Build Management Tool).
  • Other key scripting language will also be key consideration: Intellij, BigQuery (Cloud), jQuery, JSON, Handlebars.
  • Are passionate about technology and look for opportunities to learn & bring new ideas to the team.

Release engineering / Observability / Risk management

  • Can apply their thinking to many problems across multiple technical domains
  • Demonstrates mastery of their technical discipline
  • Contributes to Engineering / architectural discussions by asking the right questions to ensure a solution matches the business needs
  • Excellent knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after. Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy.
  • Familiar with Cloud Based Framework
