We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Consultant to lead quality assurance initiatives for complex software projects, with a focus on Core Banking and financial systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in end-to-end software testing, automation, and test strategy, as well as a strong understanding of modern banking technologies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies for Core Banking and financial applications.
  • Oversee all phases of testing: unit, integration, system, regression, UAT, and production validation.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Test Automation Frameworks, including for mainframe and distributed banking systems.
  • Coordinate test activities across multiple teams, ensuring compliance with banking regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Design and implement Test Data Management solutions, including synthetic data generation and masking for sensitive banking data.
  • Conduct API and microservices testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).
  • Apply Agile and DevOps testing practices, including Shift-Left, Shift-Right, and Continuous Testing.
  • Prepare and present detailed test reports, metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders, including risk-based assessments.
  • Utilize virtualization tools (e.g., Service Virtualization, WireMock) and test containers (e.g., TestContainers, Docker) to simulate complex banking environments.
  • Perform backend testing, including database validation, service layer verification, batch job testing, and reconciliation processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers and QA engineers.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to ensure test coverage for critical banking workflows (e.g., payments, loans, account management).
  • Support testing of integrations with third-party banking services, payment gateways, and regulatory reporting systems.
  • Implement and manage test environments, including cloud-based and hybrid setups.
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end software testing, with at least 3 years in Core Banking or financial systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in test planning, coordination, and reporting.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks for both web and legacy banking platforms.
  • Proficiency in API and microservices testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).
  • Expertise in Test Data Management, including data privacy and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing test strategies and methodologies for regulated environments.
  • Exposure to virtualization tools (Service Virtualization, WireMock).
  • Experience with test containers (TestContainers, Docker-based testing setups).
  • Strong knowledge of backend testing (databases, services, batch jobs, reconciliation).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

     

     

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Core Banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, T24).
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022, SWIFT, and other banking standards.
  • Experience with performance, security, and accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance testing (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX).
