This function brings together distinct specialisms to drive greater connectivity in how we manage engagement with key stakeholders for HSBC. Finance teams provide the bank with internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas also manage HSBC’s worldwide tax affairs, group treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts. Sustainability teams lead the bank’s work to support sustainable growth in a global economy, including an ambitious plan to prioritise financing that supports the transition to net zero. Group External Communications teams – including colleagues from Media Relations, ESG Communications and Group Reputation deliver communication strategies that support HSBC’s strategic objectives, protect our reputation and build trust among our stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Finance Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Supporting the strategic and ad-hoc analysis at customer and client level across Hong Kong Business (including customer segment and client performance data in Retail Banking and Wealth, and client-level Omnia analytics for Commercial Banking), will also engage with Corporate and Institutional Banking on priority franchise Banking client performance analysis in order to bring consolidated insights to the Hong Kong management team

  • Work closely with Business Finance teams and Data & Analytics (D&A) teams to establish consistent data standards, reporting framework, and insights to drive business performance

  • Partner with the Financial Controller and Investor Relations teams to meet the external disclosure requirements based on financial and customer/client data, and to support external messaging and ensure transparency and credibility

  • Competitor benchmarking, leveraging available sources and intelligence to identify industry trends, provide support for coalition analysis, and drive strategic actions

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management policies, and financial governance standards

Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in finance or role relevant qualifications, such as ACA, CPA, CFA or equivalent, are a plus

  • Expertise in Financial Modelling and Analytics

  • Proven track record in driving commercial insights based on analytics

  • Experience in Retail Banking, Wealth or Commercial Banking preferred

  • Knowledge of Hong Kong banking market dynamics, competitive landscape and the wider economy

  • In-depth knowledge of the Company, Group and financial services industry, business supported and the regulatory framework they operate in
