HSBC’s Global Trade Solutions (GTS) comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
In this role you will:
- Proactively identify and develop new GTS opportunities for HSBC
- Assisting in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
- Assisting in the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers.
- Working closely with Structured Trade Solutions to provide innovative solutions to existing and new to bank businesses.
- Supporting distribution channel business development strategies
- Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
- Working hand in hand with stakeholders to grow the GTS franchise
- Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge of GTS services and products - specifically working capital solutions
- Ability to interact with business customers at a senior and strategic level
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to self-generate opportunities and work alongside the wider GTS team.
- Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk
- Experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve customer and financial targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues
- Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
