The Senior Mortgage Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating mortgage servicing business processes and data to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer experience. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams – including business stakeholders, IT, and operations- to translate business needs into actional technical requirements and data definitions.  

As our Senior Mortgage Business Analyst you will:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of mortgage business processes to uncover inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations, increase profitability, and elevate the customer experience
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and propose effective, data-driven solutions
  • Lead and manage business process improvement projects, including oversight of timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Document business processes and procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and insights to business stakeholders and collaborative teams
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate key insights and support decision-making at the leadership level
  • Maintain documentation of data analysis methodologies and procedures
  • Stay informed on industry trends, mortgage technologies, and emerging data tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $73,400.00 and $110,100.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data and/or business analysis 
  • Ability to define project scope, deliverables and timelines along with effectively tracking tasks and deliverables 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, products, and services
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes a plus
  • Experience in project management and implementation of technical solutions
  • Experience with ICE’s Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) a plus
