Senior Product Manager (Liabilities Management Focused), Product Management

Commercial Banking – Global Payments Solutions 

Hang Seng's Global Payments Solutions ("GPS") offers a comprehensive range of cash management services from account and deposit management, payments and remittance, collection and receivable services, liquidity management and electronic channel solutions to our corporate and commercial banking customers. We provide tailored solutions to our corporate banking customers as well as efficient plug-and-use services to our business banking customers. We are responsible to drive the liabilities growth of Commercial and Global Banking segments through the provision of leading class cash management solutions to them. We are also steering the transaction banking FX growth for the bank as well. We focus on our customer needs in Greater China and aim to be the one-stop cash management partner to our customers across mainland China and Hong Kong.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Product Manager (Liabilities Management Focused), Product Management, Global Payments Solutions  

Overview

As the SPM for Liabilities Management, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Liabilities products and solutions to our wholesale banking clients, you’ll drive and execute the overall Liabilities strategy.  Collaborating with teams across client coverage, customer propositions, digital channels, technology, operations, legal, marketing and sales to develop product roadmaps, deliver deposit analysis metrics and liabilities management solutions that address client needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends. 

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead, define, execute, and drive various Deposit Analysis Metrics, and develop liabilities products that align all the deposit analysis metrics.

  • Formulate, implement, and commercialize key initiatives to drive business outcomes for return on investments as well as revenue growth.

  • Execute and drive Deposit Metrics including total deposits trend, average deposit size, deposit growth rate as well as deposit mix.

  • Execute and drive Product Profitability Metrics including key Net Interest Margin (NIM) drivers management, cost of funds analysis, stable vs non-stable fund analysis, as well as customer price sensitivity analysis.

  • Execute Retention and Engagement Metrics including account closure rate, customer churn rate as well as average account balance analysis.

  • Execute Market Position Metrics including market share analysis and competitive pricing analysis.

  • Build strong engagement with client coverage teams, clients, senior leadership to align priorities and overall liabilities product strategy.

  • Mentor junior product manager to support a high-performing product team with a culture of excellence.

Requisitos

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in cash and liabilities management from financial institutions/ corporate banking (retail banking will be considered). 

  • Possess experience in Liabilities products and solutions preferably in product management.

  • Ability to formulate and implement Liabilities growth strategies and identifying new liabilities opportunities are essential.

  • Prior experience in developing and launching new products is an advantage.

  • Strong attentiveness to detail, with ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and coaching skills.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin);

  • Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Innovative and entrepreneur mindset, and strong sense of ownership in delivering business outcomes and seamless customer journey.

  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
