We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

The IBM Z Storage Engineer is responsible for leading, building and supporting the IBM Z Storage hardware and software infrastructure.

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

  • Perform a Technical Project Management role for large IBM Z infrastrcutre projects.
  • Setup automation to reduce manaual interventions in the Storage infrastructure.
  • Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity.
  • Risk and Cost Management.
  • Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services.
  • Business stakeholder management.
  • Vendor liason and management.
  • IBM Z Storage hardware/Software design, configuration, implementation and support.
  • Disaster Recovery Drill practice.
  • Monitor the capacity of IBMz products.
Requisitos
  • Must have over 10 years working experience of Mainframe Platform.
  • Must have extensive experience of mainframe systems programming. This is essential to the role.
  • Must have knowledge of a combination z/OS, Storage, DB2, TDMF, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, DFHSM / DFDSS / ICKDSF etc. skill set.
  • Must have knowledge of IBM DS8K disk hardware installation and upgrade skills set,  and Dell/EMC DLM virtual tape hardware installation and upgrade skill set.
  • Must have knowledge of IBM GDPS, z/OS IODF knowledge and and PPRC Metro / Global mirror etc. skill set.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
