We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities
- Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand
- Design and develop the system function according of HSBC non-functional requirement and group standard.
- Manage deployment schedules and ensure compliance with approved deployment tools.
- Work as system support team to provide professional consultancy/support timely for application teams’ queries/requests.
- Work with IT Infrastructure and other IT application teams as well as external vendors to support the sytem running smothly.
- Supervise the rectification of production system issues with the minimum disruption to the business.
- Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services.
- Assist in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to defect prevention initiatives.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in software development, ideally in multi-tier applications.
- Solid and proficient skills in Python, Java, Oracle PL/SQL, RAML, experience on Airflow would be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-related development and tools such as Alicloud or GCP.
- Experience with release management processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
- Familiarity with service quality management, including monitoring tools and incident resolution.
- Knowledge of Agile development and Devops tool (e.g. Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Jmeter, HP virtual user, Cucumber, Jenkins, QC, etc).
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent analytic/problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the areas of core banking, financial reporting would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with different groups of stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong team player who also has the ability to work under pressure, independently and proactively.
