We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

   

Business: GTS Technology

    

Principal responsibilities

  • Analysis, Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements
  • Conduct system test, user acceptance test and provide support on system implementation.
  • Ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
  • Prepare project related documentation and ensure compliance and audit policies strictly followed.
  • Reduce technical risk / debt in solution proposal, system design and implementation
  • Provide technical and domain consultancy and support in Commercial Banking IT
  • Provide in-depth knowledge transfer and on-job training / guidance to improve team productivity
  • Work closely with global and regional stakeholders on projects delivery

Requisitos

Technical skill

  • 7+ years' software development experience in AS400 RPG.
  • Working as a technical lead to provide the end to end project delivery before.
  • Strong technical skill set and provide the guidance to project team on software technical design, coding and testing.
  • With analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
  • Be familiar with AS400, RPGLE, CL on iSeries.
  • Have awareness of Agile/DevOps approach and practices, additional credit for the experiences in DevOps tooling (e.g. JIRA, RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, etc.).

Soft skill

  • A highly-motivated individual with positive and proactive attitude. Open minded and adaptive to changes.
  • Confident to interact with people of different culture.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Willing to work offshore and travel if required
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivery; Excellent problem solving and User support skills
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or late hours
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment to deliver high quality results under tight schedule and high pressure
  • Working in a team with different cultures
