We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER.

Principal responsibilities

• Develop and execute API product delivery plans to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of API products, from design, development, testing to launch and maintenance.
• Collaborate with development teams, business units, and external partners to ensure API products meet business needs and market requirements.
• API Governance.
• Develop and implement API governance strategies to ensure compliance and security.
• Monitor API usage, analyze API performance and usage data to optimize API design and architecture.
• Manage API documentation and version control to ensure maintain ability and scalability.
• API Service Operations.
• Monitor the operational status of API services, promptly identify and address service failures and anomalies.
• Develop and execute API service operations plans to ensure high availability and stability.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to optimize API service deployment and operations processes.
• Problem Solving and Incident Handling:
• Quickly respond to and resolve issues and incidents in API services to ensure normal operation.
• Analyze the causes of problems, develop and implement improvement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to optimize the performance and stability of API services.

• A master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related business field.
• Strong experience in API lifecycle management, API governance, service operations, problem-solving, and incident handling.
• Familiarity with best practices in API design and development, with API product delivery and management capabilities.
• Familiarity with API documentation and version control, with API governance and optimization capabilities.
• Familiarity with API service monitoring and operations, with incident handling and problem-solving.
• Experience in delivery management in a DevOps environment.
• Experience in program /portfolio management.
• Proven track record in matrix management.
• Understanding of end-to-end API lifecycle design and runtime aspects.
• Relevant experience in API lifecycle maintenance.
• Practice API strategies centered on critical domains. Ensure API design is aligned with the enterprise API and domain strategy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
• Demonstrates exceptional fluency in spoken English and proficiency in written communication.
• Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal /external stakeholders.
• Ability to bring rigor and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment is desirable.
• Self-starter, independent, and willing to take on a wide variety of work. 
• Capability of tracking, reporting, and governance.
• Impactful communication skills. - Strong collaboration skills.
• Experienced with problem -solving and critical thinking.
• SAFe Agilist,ITIL,CBAP certification is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience in cloud technology adoption such as AWS/Azure /GCP is a plus.
• Cantonese proficiency is preferred.
