We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.

 

Business: Wholesale Technology

 

Principal responsibilities

Technical competency:

  • Change review and analysis: Analyse the requirements.
  • Test Planning: Should be well versed with Test planning and in developing Test strategies.
  • Reviews: Conduct Test coverage review,  test plan and test results for functional & Non functional Test coverage.
  • Tools & Frameworks : Well versed on ALM, JIRA, Confluence, JENKINS, Loadrunner, Automation tools and frameworks (Java-Selenium and TOSCA).
  • Support: Provide post development support.

Impact on the Business:

  • Participate in Feasibility Studies and Requirement analysis.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase test quality, improve test productivity, and streamline testing /QA process.
  • Test Analysis and Planning.
  • Prepare the Test execution plan.
  • Participate and give suggestions on clear choice adhering to Group Standards and Guidelines.
  • Understand the requirement and Identifying gaps (Static Testing techniques).
  • Participate in estimation using the HTI guidelines.
  • Prepare and participate in creating Test planning documents as per requirements and within schedule.
  • Execute project specific testing & QA activities in accordance to applicable standards and quality parameters.
  • Reviewing test results.
  • Assist in setting up the right environment for the projects.
  • Assist/Develop base classes/components for the projects.

People / Team Management:

  • Delivery management of entire QA worksteams applying the best test planning standards.
  • Manage deliveries within time and of high quality and within budget.
  • Manage global IT and business stakeholders.
  • Talent hiring, onboarding and Technical upskilling of team.
  • Create, manage and refine application development and support standards for UI specifc technologies and adoption of those in HSBC.
  • Expert in running projects in Agile manner with appropriate tooling.

Customers / Stakeholder Management:

  • Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls. Implement and comply with Group Compliance Policy and Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role.
  • Knowledge Management  & Ensuring use of best practices.
  • Interaction with Team members & Improve Productivity.
  • Continuous awareness and contribution towards technology / application.
  • Contribute to knowledge repository.
  • Gain expertise in one of major technology or application areas within HSBC.
  • Provide best practices across the SDLC.
  • Communicate with the relevant project teams regarding resolving technical / application issues related to delivery of projects.
  • Use tools and automation opportunities to increase productivity.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Mentoring.
  • Interact with Team Members and specialists.
  • Mentor and guide team members and developers.
  • Cross-functional team member and liaise with other Specialist, Architects.
  • Contribute to development of team members.
  • Identify and conduct training programs.
Requisitos
  • Software development related Master degree is best to have, Bachelor is must.
  • A minimum of 12 years' IT industry experience with significant testing knowledge, especially functional /automation testing.
  • Fluent communication skills in spoken and listen English to communicate with UK and IN colleges.
  • Convincing capability to cooperate with different roles in global locations.
  • A highly-motivated individual with positive and pro-active attitude.
  • Has experience in Performance Testing & Engineering and Automation testing & Engineering. Contribute in successful delivery of projects-sprints by providing Technical / QA expertise and guidance to project teams.
  • The responsibilities entail areas such as Test Management, Delivery Management, Test planning, requirement analysis, Defect management, performance assessment as well as standard scripting knowledge of test automation frameworks.
