HSBC Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, invests on behalf of HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions through both segregated accounts and pooled funds. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Solutions Quantitative Analyst.
Principal Responsibilities
- Development of investment solutions and strategies by means of quantitative analyses
- Providing of advisory services to institutional clients: ALM studies, Strategic Asset Allocation advisory or fixed income portfolio construction
- Assisting in the quantitative design of solutions for the wholesale sector (e.g. retirement and capital protected solutions)
- Supporting of solution strategists and sales teams in acquisition projects and strategic dialogues with clients
- Contributing to the on-going enhancement of HSBC Asset Management’s asset liability and strategic allocation advisory approach, e.g. by integrating climate objectives or new developments in the Alternatives space
- Close cooperation with other investment capabilities (e.g. in the design of products for specific client groups such as insurance companies or pension funds)
- Close cooperation with the Solutions Portfolio Management team and the Sales Teams in growing and further developing the investment solution business
- Contribution to the on-going development of the toolkit of the Global Solutions team
- Being part of a global team with global responsibilities
- 4-5 years relevant experience in Finance / Insurance / Consulting
- Good mathematical / analytical skills, e.g. a degree in actuarial studies, mathematics or physics
- Programming experience, in Python, Matlab would be a plus
- First experience in ALM/SAA with knowledge of Monte-Carlo simulations and financial models
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate within a global team
- High degree of proactivity and flexibility
