Principal responsibilities

• Familiar The job holder will have to perform the following duties in OB platform:
• Provide technical leadership, and work with business/product owner, business analysts and various scrum teams to deliver APIs and Open Banking components for various Digital projects and Open Banking area that aligns with all architecture directions and standards through cross organization consulting and direct involvement in development efforts.
• Ensure the solution design & deliverables address performance requirements and reusability, scalability, availability, recovery, integrity and security challenges, as well as business functional requirements.
• Collaborate with API Service Architects & Technical Platform Architects to understand & feedback for the established API best practice & design/development principles.
• Lead engineers in various scrum teams to ensure API deliverables meet business needs and time to market & provide timely support of live systems.
• Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risks, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management.

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant discipline.
• Solid experience in leading experienced engineers for the delivery of complex deployment projects and under diversified/ matrix structure.
• Exposure of working on Global/Regional architecture and application teams in API & Integration domain.
• Solid and proficient skills in Java, Spring Framework, Web Service, API programming.
• Expert and Strong foundation in Restful design practices.
• Expert and Experience in working with API management platform.
• Expert and Experience in modelling data in JSON. Mongo DB is a plus.
• Expert and Experience in Kubernetes (K8S).
• Expert and Experience in Serverless Systems, Familiar with Software Architecture Patterns for Serverless Systems.
• Knowledge or experience of any ESB tools (e.g. IIB, Mule, MQ, SpringBoot).
• Knowledge of DevOps, Microservice, Restful API, Agile concepts. SAFe Agilist certificate is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Splunk, Jira/Confluence, AppD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Sound leadership, negotiation, critical thinking and time management skills.
• Strong Influential communication and interpersonal skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments.
• Superior in relationship management, consultative and presentation skills.
• Demonstrable ability to mentor, develop talent and motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels and career development.
• Strong risk awareness on identification, mitigation and control.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Mandarin is also preferred.
• Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions, API deployment & production support.
• Willing to learn/explore various technologies especially in Integration domain.
• Knowledge and experience to cloud platform. E.g. AWS.
