We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

• Design and develop platform capabilities that span AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud (Ali) environments, enabling seamless cloud and on-premise AI deployments.
• Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models, incorporating Responsible AI controls.
• Lead the design and development of one of key platform components—including model gardens, AI gateways, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and Agent Frameworks—to accelerate AI solution delivery.
• Ensure strict adherence to architectural principles, technical standards, security requirements, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, ensuring successful, high-quality, and resilient AI services in production.
• Establish best practices for engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools, and drive continual improvement of engineering processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding them in building robust, scalable, and maintainable AI software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate AI capabilities into production-ready systems that meet business needs.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role focusing on AI, or ML platform projects.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud/ Ali) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong track record in MLOps, including experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability in machine learning applications.
• Experience implementing Responsible AI controls, data governance, or compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to deliver large-scale, mission-critical platforms from concept to production.
