Review and approve research documents written by Global Investment Research (GIR) analysts from a regulatory perspective to allow distribution in the US. All Research (including securities/stock-specific research produced by strategists and any other member of GIR) must be approved by a registered Supervisory Analyst (SA) before it can be distributed into the US. Currency, economics and most deal-related research are not subject to this rule but are reviewed by an SA for reputational risks, quality control and commerciality in accordance with HSBC policies. 

As our  Supervisory Analyst  you will:

 

  • Responsible for the ongoing assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology
  • Demonstrates compliance with HSBC standards, manuals and policies, and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically global research’s internal controls and compliance policies and manuals
  • Dependable and will do the right thing
  • Open to different ideas and cultures
  • Connected to customers, communities, regulators and each other

     

    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $171,700.00 and $257,500.00

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

 

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Active Series 16 license required; Series 3 or 4 license a plus

  • Proven experience as a Supervisory Analyst

  • Proactive and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively; able to multi-task and work efficiently against tight deadlines in a globally joined up environment

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Prior exposure to financial statement analysis, good quantitative skills and excellent writing skills
