The People team leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as an Talent Acquisition Manager

Areas and Accountabilities
 
  • Source candidates through different channels, interview and identify potential candidates
  • Act as a candidate manager, identifying potential candidate pipeline by cold calling and warm calling
  • Update candidate tracking record and manage candidate database, keep abreast of relevant market trends in hiring
  • Manage the recruitment & selection processes including interviews, psychometric tests and personality questionnaires for assigned scope GCB6 & above
  • Play as resourcing adviser on best practice of recruitment and selection
  • Ensure and maintain the quality of new staff by counseling the best fit for the job and for potentiality
  • Build up candidate database and talent mapping from competitors for all bands
  • Maintain necessary networking with Professional Associations, Alumni, Social Associations... to connect with international and domestic graduate and potential candidates
  • Appraise performance and reputation of Recruitment Agencies and propose the best quality agencies
  • Position HSBC’s brand as an employer of choice through various initiatives throughout the year. Using social media to create a unique employer proposition for reliable business schools as per the hiring plans for the year.
  • Take up branding activity on an ongoing basis to increase HSBC’s recall at the campuses.
  • Benchmark existing program with best in class program across market and in the industry to propose the best one
  • Develop the Employer Value Proposition (for internal and external employees) as relevant
  • Revamp and develop recruitment-related improvement process should any changes to comply with Compliance Policy
  • Remain compliant with and ensure awareness of Audit and Group requirements and other internal guidelines.
  • Ensure strict compliance with government banking regulations. Timely implement internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Ensure all activities adhere to prevailing HSBC and regulatory standards
  • Drive initiatives related to Diversity related hiring for the Bank
  • Increases customer satisfaction through better quality of hires and improved candidate experience
  • Understand current engagement with Alumni across countries and implement best practices for the countries in-scope. 
  • Develop an action plan and ensure implementation to drive engagement with Alumni (with a focus on looking at Alumni as a recruitment talent pool- re-hires/ referrals)
  • Keep up to date with standard and emerging best practices in the competitor landscape with regards to Alumni networks and share these practices appropriately across the region
  • Manage overall performance of RPO team for band 7 & below positions to ensure SLA commitment and service delivery quality and comply with HSBC Policy.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
 
  • Equivalent experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry. 
  • Significant resourcing / HR experience and track record of working in partnership with senior management and other HR colleagues in an intellectually demanding environment
  • High levels of initiative and business acumen, strong consultative, interpersonal, and communication skills and an ability to drive change
  • Proven track record of process and operational management
  • Solid business acumen and commercial awareness along with knowledge of the local employment related legislation.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure within demanding timescales
  • Excellent management planning ability with strong attention to details.
