The Analyst is a key role within the US Corporate Finance Coverage team, responsible for working directly with senior members of the team to help win new business and execute various investment banking transactions. You will need to be forward-thinking, driven and perceptive, open to different ideas, and enjoy being part of a team.
As our Coverage Analyst you will:
Support advisory and coverage for a broad range of clients
Financial analyze such as peer benchmarking, valuation, capital structure, capital allocation, shareholder & investor targeting, and ROIC analyses
Identify potential M&A targets and JV partners leveraging our international platform
Assist in preparation of presentations and other materials for clients
Collaborate with product and relationship coverage teams
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $110,000 to $125,000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
Bachelors’ degree from a leading university and strong academic performance
Investment banking or capital markets background preferred
FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 79, Series 63), or expected to acquire licenses within 120 days of joining
Superior communications, analytical and organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Self-starter with demonstrable common sense, business acumen and an interest in the mid-market corporate segment
Knowledge and experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial modeling and valuation preferred
Understanding of the global financial and capital markets
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Proficiency in Factset, CapIQ and Bloomberg preferred
