Report to: SVP and Head of Business Management

Role Purpose

-To ensure HSBC Private Bank’s Credit/Transaction Management/Business Management for IWS (Investments & Wealth Solutions) standard being implemented/executed properly and efficiently

-To control, manage, and prioritize Private Banks’ technology resources, budget, and system issue’s remediation progress

In this role, you will:

-Oversee and execute business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims, both policy-wise and technology-wise

-Facilitate and support senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback

-Participate in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities including risk and controls, regulatory controls, audit and regulatory compliance review remediation

-Investigate and remediate ad hoc issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance

-To minimize operational risk, including procedure reviewing and improvement and ensure audit findings are not repeated

-To ensure Procedure Manuals are up-to-date and HSBC’s internal requirements and local regulations are strictly adhered to

-Strong risk and compliance mindset, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Ability to project-manage, prioritize, and work independently under pressure within a team environment with strong attention to details

-Familiarity with Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel and Word

-Extensive knowledge of Bank practices, regulatory environment, and investment/derivatives

-High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese

-License requirement (prerequisite): 信託業管理人員 (Trust Level 3) and 金融市場常識與職業道德 (Financial Sense and Ethics)
