We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Vice President-Delivery lead

Business: Data and Architecture Office(DAO), ESG

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of BI and Analytics solutions to accomplish measurable outcomes for HSBC's Global businesses and functions
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team formed of business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, visualization specialists to deliver use cases via Agile
  • Report progress to senior stakeholders and business sponsors by operating and participating in key steering and governance committees
  • When delivering BI and Analytics solutions, enforce tooling and reporting standards within the team
  • Partner with the central data asset, architecture, data sourcing, technology and Vendor data teams to drive the strategic buildout of high quality reusable data assets, analytics and BI 
  • Influence strategy and shape the programme approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
  • Drive Programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
  • Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities and schedules
  • Establish effective programme controls and procedures
  • Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
  • Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the Programme aligns to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC methodology at all times
  • Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to Programme objectives

Leadership & Teamwork 

  • Build and leverage deep relationships with key Business customers to understand, generate, prioritize and meet demand for BI and Analytics opportunities.
Requisitos
  • Consistent Use Case delivery track record using Agile.
  • Deep knowledge of data and analytics delivery life cycle.
  • Experience in managing teams with diverse skillsets and disciplines to deliver exceptional customer service and value.
  • Functional knowledge of financial services/ESG preferable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in forming advisory relationship with senior managers.
  • Experience of working with on premise and/or cloud data refineries preferable.
  • Experience with one or more visualization technologies, Qlik or Tableau preferable
  • Experience in data privacy, model risk management preferable.
  • Experience in delivering in a highly regulated environment preferable.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within ESG
  • Good understanding of the industry and the challenges and changes in the sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how all value units / products / regions / legal entities collectively integrate, alongside a comprehensive knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of HSBC
  • Management responsibility of multiple teams, through subordinate managers, with accountability for independent budgets Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework. 
  • Covers a wide range of diverse activities that require complex judgements and solutions based on conceptual thought and strategic vision and analysis
  • Is proactive in developing ideas, continuously searching for improvements in techniques which add value to the business and has full responsibility for implementation. The role requires the ability to negotiate and influence within their team with a high level of influence.
  • Latitude to make decisions within the objectives of HSBC global business / global function overall. Little guidance is available and role holder is expected to formulate strategy following the objectives of the business
  • Creates business plans for own teams and expected to contribute into value unit / region / product / legal entity strategy.
  • The role holder must possess a high level of sensitivity to the audience, be able to modify the beliefs and opinions of others, and negotiate with significant latitude for the final outcome.
