We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

VP, ORR Capital, Stress Testing, and Scenario Analysis

Role purpose:

Operational and Resilience Risk (ORR) oversees the Non-Financial Risk Framework (NFR) and provides independent second line review and challenge over Resilience Risks.  Within ORR, the Operational Risk Capital, Stress Testing, and Scenario Analysis team is responsible for the Operational Risk component of the CCAR stress test, regional contributions to group-wide stress tests and Economic Capital calculations, and scenario analysis.

The VP, ORR Capital, Stress Testing, and Scenario Analysis will be a leader within the team and will contribute to all aspects of the capital, stress testing, and scenario analysis programs.

Main activities: 

  • Develop and document the methodology and approach for performing CCAR stress tests.
  • Manage the scenario analysis program, including scoping, execution, governance, and approval.
  • Document stress testing results, prepare internal and regulatory submissions, and present results to senior management and various governance forums.
  • Analyze operational risk data (e.g. Risk and Control Assessment results, internal and external loss data, etc.) and Risk ID results to ensure stress testing and scenario analysis are focused on the highest risk areas.
  • Maintain Operational Risk Stress Testing model documentation and perform periodic model monitoring.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders across all lines of business, operations, and functions (Compliance, Finance, Legal, etc.) to deliver results on time and with high quality.
  • Coordinate with Risk Strategy, Finance, and central Stress Testing teams to effectively execute CCAR stress tests on time; identify and implement changes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Engage with Independent Model Review teams, Internal Audit, and Regulators during reviews and exams.
  • Liaise with Global Operational Risk teams to execute PRA and EBA stress tests and review Economic Capital results.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis of Operational Risk internal loss data, loss forecasting, and risk appetite for operational losses. 
Requisitos
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Financial Services in a Risk, Finance, or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Risk, Stress Testing, and/or Scenario Analysis.  Direct experience with CCAR preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present across different levels of the organization and through different formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Analytically capable with an ability to review, interpret, and summarize broad and complex information.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, time management, and complex problem solving skills.
  • Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  MBA or graduate degree preferred.
