We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Carry out NetBackup Installation & configuration (L3)
- Perform regular system maintenance, Patch management.
- Perform Incident solving and Change implementation.
- Analyse/solve performance and security issues.
- Perform complex backup scheduling maintenance which also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; middleware or applications teams.
- Carry out configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)
- Upgrading and patching the Backup servers
- Manage Internal Database of NetBackup
Requisitos
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Veritas NetBackup Administration
- Strong experience on Linux and scripting (preferably: shell, python, puppet)
- Hands-on experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.
- Clear understanding on SLP and Vault
- Experience in Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with NetBackup
- Should have clear understanding on TCP/IP concepts.
- Should have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture.
- Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
