We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President – Business Management Global WCAO

Principal responsibilities

  • This individual will be tasked with the development and execution of Global Wholesale Performance and business management activities including strategy execution, planning, transformation, operations (including 3rd party), processes, analytics, customer experience, systems, controls and effectiveness.
  • The individual should possess robust people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and mobilize teams. They should have experience in Finance and Accounting, Cost Management, strategy execution, planning, transformation, operations, and processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective cross-functional work. Familiarity with financial automation and business AI solutions is advantageous. The candidate should also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for overcoming obstacles to ensure smooth task delivery.
  • The individual will lead and support global, regional and country teams automation and AI solutions; identify process improvement quick wins managing service propositions in a more holistic way to streamline processes and identify the most appropriate “home” for various tasks or initiatives, allocate tasks or initiatives appropriately, and support global ad hoc projects.
  • In this People Manager role, significant influence skills will be essential to mobilize individuals and garner support from countries globally. Collaboration with teams will be essential. This role requires a high degree of agility, adaptability, enabling the individual to transition swiftly between various initiatives drilling into details, operational tasks and activities.
  • The individual will be operationally responsible for the team supporting both Global CMB, GB business management activities including Investment Banking WCOO related operational and coordination activities including job catalogue governance, workforce management, supporting productivity metrics reporting, supporting location strategy, and facilities management.
  • Programme/Project Management Framework, supporting the creation of detailed plans including key activities and milestones
  • Tracks and reports financial performance metrics and builds budget control to manage expenses.
  • Ensure strategic objectives are translated into initiatives and brought into reality, working with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate mechanisms for key measurements and monitoring to ensure transparency and progress evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure correct focus and direction for the business area across the bank.
  • In collaboration with Wholesale (CMB / GB) and Digital Business Services (DBS) sub-functions, executing key initiatives including streamlining, simplification and service mapping, working alongside process re-engineering colleagues as required.
  • Develop close and effective working relationships with Global Business & Functions / Regional strategy teams.
Requisitos
  • Proven experience in strategic implementation, stakeholder management, Excel modelling / analysis, and MIs / performance metrics; Should be a problem solver, visualizer & critical thinker.
  • Outstanding understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group; Demonstrable robust knowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Sound knowledge of Wholesale (CMB and GB) – functionally, operationally, and financially; Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills; Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong working relationships across a globally distributed matrix environment.
  • Detail oriented with a keen sense of self-motivation; Execution orientated with an ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals.
  • Collaboration and proven ability to work with various stakeholders across geographies and throughout the bank. Proven ability to influence senior management; Ability to distil complex and varied information into useful, insightful and concise recommendations.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesise key themes and issues. Able to quickly conceptualize complex projects and problem statements.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services landscape and development in FinTech
