We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager

  • Provide overall leadership, oversight etc to build and run the WebTech Practice capability within WPB IT; across all dimensions, including people, processes and tools.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with CTO WebTech Resources, Cybersecurity, WPB Application Teams, WPB Support and Change Management, WPB Risk and Control Management, and senior WPB IT Management.
  • Maintain good working relationships with WebTech Practice Leads in other Lines Of Business to help identify and progress opportunities for efficiencies, cost reductions, risk reductions.
  • Leverages past experience and uses strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders including customers, senior management and other business leaders.
  • Accountable to ensure best practice, standards, recommended tools and technologies are used within WPB IT.
  • Ensuring that vulnerabilities for WebTech technologies are remediated in a timely manner, according to their risks. Governance over critical patching and production of MI.
  • Ensuring that non-compliances with Standards are remediated in a timely manner. Tracking and reporting progress.
  • Ensuring that regular software patching is carried out.
  • Ensure Instances of WebTech technologies are included in Service DR exercises and Backup & Restore exercises.
  • Ensuring that Evergreening of WebTech Technologies is planned and completed in advance of Vendor End Of Support deadlines.
  • Act as escalation point for all WebTech issues which teams are unable to resolve themselves.
  • Influence CTO/Cyber teams to adapt/evolve to meet WPB requirements and vice versa
  • Governance over compliance to WebTech Security Standards; Approval of membership to privileged access groups.
  • Ensuring that WebTech technologies are built using the Superstack.
  • Governance of OAT, access, WebTech monitoring, DR exercises and quality controls against standard baselines before go-live.
  • Make judgement calls about adoption of technical debt.
  • Apply technical and managerial experience to identify most important parts of a problem
  • Governance over technical interviews, assessments and certification for cross-training into Practice functional roles.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the virtual team by automating manual tasks.
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Must have substantial experience (10 years minimum) of one or more of the following technologies: Apache HTTP, IHS, WAS, WLP (aka Liberty). Experience must include Evergreening.
  • Nice to have experience: Apache Tomcat, C:D, LDAP (ForgeRock), Mule, WPS (aka WebSphere Portal).
  • Understanding of network terminologies
  • Understanding of DevOps and monitoring/visibility tooling such as code repositories, Ansible, Qliksense, etc
  • Proven experience in managing and building relationship with developers, management and infra SME’s
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate technical details into easily understood and consumable data/reports. Proven track record of presenting to all levels of management.
  • Have an automation/change mentality and strive for constant improvements via automated processes.
  • Proven ability to manage a global virtual team. Develop talent within the team and enable opportunities for career progression. Provide mentoring as appropriate.
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills (technical and non-technical) who can lead from the front when required. Able to take a hands on/off view when managing problems.
