Workforce Strategy & Insights Data Analyst
Role purpose
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for case management and delivering insightful ad-hoc analytics to support our HR and organizational decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the flexibility to thrive in a heavily matrixed organization.
Main activities:
Manage and resolve HR-related data cases efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely responses. (60% of the role)
Conduct ad-hoc analytics to provide actionable insights on workforce trends, employee engagement, and other HR metrics.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI, Excel, SQL, R, or Python to utilise data effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
Support data extraction and manipulation from cloud databases, with a preference for experience in Oracle, Databricks, or similar platforms.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics processes and tools.
Work within an agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Actuarial Science or equivalent will be preferred.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Exposure to Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Machine Learning is preferred.
Good understanding of data modelling and database management.
Experience in interrogating and interpreting data.
Good understanding of HR operations, dashboards, and compliance requirements relevant to HR data.
Knowledge of data privacy laws and data governance standards specific to the HR data.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for banking leadership.
Ability to handle sensitive and personnel data with confidentiality and integrity.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in a regulated environment.
Collaborative mindset to work effectively with HR, compliance, risk management, and other banking teams.
Pro-active, resilient, and tenacious with focus on execution and delivery.
