HSBC Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) is an emerging markets-led and financing-focused business that provides tailored financial solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients worldwide. The role is within CIB & HBEU Technology – a department of HSBC Technology - providing IT application development and support services to Business and IT teams within CIB & HBEU.
In particular, the Tech Tools, Metrics & Controls Team (TMC) falls under the CIB & HBEU Technology Service Management function, providing development, enhancement and support a number of Tools and integrations used across the CIB & HBEU Technology organization.  
We currently invite multi-discipline IT developer professionals with a passion for technology and professionalism to follow a career in the technology industry of HSBC CIB.

What you’ll do
Work as a member of the TMC team within the CIB & HBEU Technology organisation. In this capacity, interface with Tech teams across the organization, engaged in a hybrid role with primarily design, development and engineering responsibilities along with the need to support our systems and customers while providing technical and process consultancy and expertise.
Understand the architecture of the vast Dataset in the remit of the TMC team. Improve the data modelling, aiming to optimize the efficiency of our Services. 
Design and build robust, monitored and API based, data flow solutions both for data consumption and update. 
Prepare and shape our data infrastructure to be AI ready, aiming to leverage on our data asset wealth using the power of AI.
Be force of proposal and drive the roll out of the chosen AI solutions on the identified data set.
Help to maintain and improve Continual Delivery through automated CI/CD pipelines.
Accompany the team towards the adoption of external cloud solutions.
Take responsibility for the execution of tactical and strategic projects that deliver change in the TMC suite and/or its parent CIB & HBEU Tech Service Management organization. 

What you need to have to succeed in this role
We desire a Data oriented development profile, with proven development experience in the industry and an active interest in technology and programming. The role is for AI and Data Engineer role in which you are expected to be proficient in building reliable Data Pipelines, efficient APIs and value-added AI functions.
Experience in integrating AI solutions within existing data environment and good understanding of the NLP, LLMs and machine learning frameworks.
Solid experience to Implement and manage data processing frameworks, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ETL processes for batch and real-time streaming.
Strong experience in data modelling and data management. 
Cloud platforms: proven experience with one or more of the industry leading providers (ideally GCP)
Development and design experience with 1 or more industry standard RDBMS (Oracle / PostgreSQL / Sybase / MS SQL Server).
Scripting and full application development ideally in Python or with strong experience in .Net, C# with appetite to handle some Python projects.
A willingness to work in different technology stacks with the ability to switch between them when required.
A willingness to assist and mentor others in a community of developers - to support and help to grow your colleagues.

The pay range for this role is 15 775 PLN - 23 658 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
