Job Advert Details

Associate in HSBC Infrastructure Finance (“HIF”) team, with a focus on the origination and execution of Korean Export Credit Agency (“KECA”) covered transactions:

- Work in the HIF team with a focus on KECA supported financing transactions

- To support the origination and execution activities in coordination with internal and external stakeholders for any HIF transactions involving Korean sponsors, contractors and KECAs

- To assist in marketing, structuring, coordination, advisory, syndication, negotiation, documentation and credit/risk analysis and prepare credit memos and other applications/materials for internal committees.

- To ensure that all internal approvals, including maintenance of deal folders, deal audit procedures and checklists and such other internal documents required, are being prepared on a timely manner.



Information

Knowledge & Experience

- Knowledge of the banking business – preferably experience in client facing roles such as a junior level coverage banker.

- Understanding of the global connectivity of the Korean business landscape and understanding key challenges of doing business in certain geographies/sectors.

- Knowledge of various banking products (e.g. export finance, project financing trade financing, financial markets and other key products offered by HSBC).

- Keeping abreast of trends and developments in relevant markets/sectors/industries.

- Preference for profile with sector knowledge (e.g. power, energy, ship financing, energy transition sectors – EV value chain and renewables, etc.)

- Background in project and export finance execution with cross product exposure is preferred.

- Good knowledge of HSBC Group and products, and a strong network of contacts across different business areas

Skills & Other Qualifications

- Excellent academic background. Educated to degree level (ideally in a numeric discipline), or holder of relevant professional qualification such as Accountancy, CFA, etc.

- Experience of financial modelling or cash projection is preferred

- Strong credit analysis skills

- Minimum language skills are Korean and English

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
