We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Data Markets

Principal responsibilities:

•Reporting to the Head of Data Science, and assisting the Head of Data and Analytics of Hang Seng to lead and support a data-driven strategy in the Bank, and have direct accountability of the bank’s data science.
•Collaboration with Global Businesses and Global Functions to understand the bank's needs of data analytics and machine learning models.
•Expertise in data science, modelling and programing to support the banks analytic capacity
•Take ownership of know-how and be the bank's consultancy, advise the bank’s analytic teams, and assist them to obtain the intelligence to be acquired.
•Advise the best data science solutions - from data source, analysis, predictive modeling, advanced analytics, insights to users.
•Work in partnership with IT on cloud management and utilize the cloud tools to better serve the analytics and model building.
•Take initiative to identify best practices, industry norms etc on the evolution of business analytics. This can be achieved through participating in industry forums, Fin-tech related seminars

Requirements

•Passion in Data Science.
•University degree in related disciplines, including Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Quant Finance, and Actuarial Science.
•5+ years’ professional experience in data analytics, data science, machine learning, and AI, including at 2+ years in management or coaching.
•Strong in open-source data science programming: R / Python / or equivalent.
•Good in data source technology: Structured DB / SQL / GCP BigQuery / Web scraping / API
•Well-known in data science topics: time series / NLP / CV / Recommender / Outlier Detections
•Good in machine learning programming framework: sklearn / xgboost / keras / tensorflow / pytorch / or equivalent.
•Strong in visual analytics: Especially Tableau, or Qilkview / PowerBI / Alteryx
•Good in data project management, stakeholder management, data science project lifecycle. Knowledge in DataOps / MLOps / AIOps / Google Cloud is a plus.
•Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results
•Proven track record interpreting and promoting data science knowledge and data driven cultures in a complex organizational environment.
•Proficient in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
