Your career opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior API Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs that power our innovative applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API architecture, RESTful services, and microservices, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our systems.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and test plans aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute a variety of manual tests, including functional, integration, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Provide accurate estimations and timelines for testing activities as well as create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for end-to-end testing processes.
- Design, document, and execute detailed test cases to ensure thorough coverage.
- Continuously enhance both manual and automated testing coverage as well as identify, document, and track defects and issues throughout the testing process.
- Collaborate closely with developers to resolve defects and issues promptly.
- Effectively communicate test results and status updates to stakeholders.
- Create and support API automation framework for both functional and nonfunctional testing (Performance etc.)
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- A minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation, specifically using Java and Rest Assured for API automation.
- Experience with API performance testing.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and integrating test automation within these frameworks.
- Proven expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of QA best practices and standards.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Ability to identify business risks and compliance issues, and design proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Good Analytical and problem-solving skills.
