We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Create and maintain monitoring solutions to be used in production monitoring, capacity management, and incident detection and response.
- Participate in the design and engineering of solutions using Infrastructure As Code methods.
- Ensure Operational and compliance activities are undertaken, and remediation actions planned for services.
- Investigate, triage, and troubleshoot production problems and use data to articulate impact with relentless attention to technical details and remediation for avoidance.
- Develop and maintain tools used in investigating production problems.
- Ensure that support documentation (runbooks and knowledge bases) are produced, maintained and improved to scale knowledge and embed best practices into the team.
- Participation in regular on call rotas to ensure we have adequate out of hours cover for the China and other regional platforms.
- Understanding of SRE Principles (Google: SRE is the concrete implementation of the DevOps interface) and believes in using software engineering methodologies in solving Operational problems (at scale).
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and networking.
- Ability to debug, optimise code, and automate routine tasks.
- Fundamentals-based problem solving skills; Drive decision by function, first principles based mind-set. We are not “title” driven and we value results over process.
- Demonstrate bias-to-action and avoid analysis-paralysis; Drive action to the finish line with high quality and on time.
