We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Quantitative Analyst
Principal responsibilities
Product Control Analytics is a group within Global Markets Finance with representation in London, Kraków, Paris and Bangalore.
Product Control Analytics is a centralized specialist quantitative team dedicated to implementation and refinement of fair value adjustment methodologies, development and support of quantitative tools to enhance the control framework for Product Control, Market Risk Management and the business, ensuring methodologies are compliant with new regulations.
The candidate will be joining a team of experienced quantitative analytics professionals with deep subject matter expertise.
Valuations Strategic Infrastructure is a large initiative to replace the existing tooling used across Product Control for calculation of Fair Value Adjustments, Prudential Valuation Adjustments and Independent Price Verification.
Valuations Strategic Infrastructure is meant to provide a unified framework based on strategic data sources and modern systems design that will allow for seamless computation of valuation adjustments with minimal user interaction.
The technology stack for Valuations Strategic Infrastructure involves distributed storage in S3 buckets, parallelized computation using pySpark, with atomic serices written in python or C++.
Planning of the Valuations Strategic Infrastructure architecture in line with the project design principles. Validation of data model designed for data storage and handovers
Coordination of the development efforts across Product Control Analytics
Implementation of missing components in python. Overseeing junior python developers, including code review.
Strong cooperation with Finance Information Technology and Product Control Valuations teams
Liaising with business stakeholders to ensure that business and regulatory requirements are fully understood and satisfied.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Masters / PhD in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering discipline.
Programming experience in Python, understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
Knowledge of pandas package functionalities. (3-6 years)
Understanding basic concepts of quantitative finance: portfolio theory, risk-neutral measures, statistical analysis
Ability to work in a team and independently as a self-starter with high reliability and attention to detail
Cooperative, open to help and lead others if necessary.
Fluency in English both spoken and written.
Knowledge of pySpark, SQL, REST API’s, C++, Jira, Git, test driven development
Experience with X Value Adjustments, Prudent Value Adjustments or other Fair Value Adjustments
