We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
 
In this role, you will:

Achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, identify business opportunities and sell innovative payments and collections, liquidity and cash management solutions to Financial Institutions particularly Chinese banks including Big4 , nationwide joint-stock commercial banks, city commercial banks and Multinational Development and Central banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds etc. of HSBC's Global Banking.

Be able to lead and develop GPS business strategy for Financial Institutions clients in South China by navigating, mobilizing the bank's resources, network and global platform, and collaborating with stakeholders across functions globally, regionally and locally to achieve the outcome.

Excellent command of understanding sector clients' business model, identifying clients business needs and providing market-leading and customized payments and cash management solutions to sector clients. Share Payment and Cash management best practices, industry trends and payment solutions with clients.

Responsibility for providing solutions, pricing, negotiating and reviewing the full range of payments, liquidity and cash management solutions for sectors clients, together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the HSBC Group. The jobholder is ultimately responsible for new sales revenue generation from new and existing clients as well as income aligned to a portfolio within the Sectors.

Initiate, develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase GPS business and market share penetration.

As Global Sales, be able to engage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders globally including FIG, Products, Customer Service, FCC and Regulatory Compliance etc. to achieve business outcome. 

Maintain close liaison with key overseas product stakeholders particularly in the US, EU and HK so as to collaborate and provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services to keep abreast of the industry.

Keep Management informed of progress and major obstacles towards progress on Sales targets.         

A proven ability working across cultures in a complex environment and will maintain effective business knowledge to develop trust and confidence within the business and with clients.                                                                                                             

Ensure strong risk management, compliance and adherence to audit, regulatory and cross border policies, and Comply with HSBC's global standards, risk requirements and policies.

Manage costs within plan and keep losses to a minimum.

Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Relevant FI work experience in covering large Chinese banks, sales manager work experience in Payments and Cash Management covering FI clients is preferred.

Sophisticated knowledge and expertise in Global Clearing business, relative new business development and project management experience are good plus.

Familiar with cross border transactions FCC, AML and Sanctions related regulatory landscape and framework in cash management areas.

Client centric approach, Strong client communications and engagement skills.

Technically understand digitalization, operations automation and data driven decision making projects (Big data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning etc.)

Excellent performance track record, proven self-starter and able to work independently with minimal guidance in meeting tight deadlines.

Self-motivated, driven, problem-solving and result oriented, willing to take challenges and open-minded to learn new things.

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.          

Influencing and collaborative abilities. Team work spirit, Strong inter-personal skills so that be able to influence and motivate major stakeholders to maximize team work for better outcome, creating confidence and trust.

Promoted and led best practice in risk and compliance management.
