CTO DevOps Services - Collaboration Services pillar is key part of the wider CTO DevOps Services department to deliver engineering collaboration tools that connect key data, information, and knowledge across HSBC to support and facilitate collaborations across teams and individuals, and to drive their engineering maturity. The candidate will work as full stack engineer on one of engineering product called Versions. Versions is a proof-of-concept collaboration to build an in house source code repository and documentation management tool for developers, engineers, data scientists, architects and technical managers with the stretch goal of replacing or contributing to the replacement of Confluence, BitBucket and Github.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
- Deliver feature on-time with quality (zero blocker, critical, high issues) independently following vision “Go Faster, Breal Less, and Protect Production.”
- Participate in design workshop, code review, troubleshooting.
- Lead design reviews with engineers and stakeholders to evaluate and confirm technology design decisions.
- Expertise in design and development of a significant application/business domain
- Collaborate with team members effectively, guide and support.
- Develops talent within the team and helps create opportunities for junior team members.
- Creativity and Innovation/Experimentation to keep abreast with evolving developer’s experience.
- Automate tasks through tools and scripts.
Requirements
- Experience in developing industry leadings product with fast pace with latest technologies
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and can be productive from day1.
- Can work on multiple products and can lead a team of engineers for delivering product or features if required.
- Must have solid knowledge of Vanilla JS, NodeJs and database Oracle / MySql / PostgreSql
- Experience with Python, Java/Kotlin, and Clojure is a plus.
- Must have Experience on DevOps and Agile Methodologies. Experience working with CI/CD pipeline, code analysis tools, security tools, Jenkins, GIT, Confluence etc.
- Ability to work with a degree of autonomy while also being able to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Must have self-motivated, problem-solving skills, can-do attitude, and High degree of personal integrity.
- 5+ years of relevant experience on application development
