We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Business: Retail Banking Technology

Principal responsibilities

  • Work as part of Global Digital Engineering team with responsibility for API delivery.
  • Collaborate with API Architects & Technical Platform Architects to understand& feedback for the established API best practice.
  • Work with Global Enterprise/Solution Architects to review end-to-end technical design.
  • Lead engineers to work on API delivery including API development & deployment with good quality & on schedule.
  • Review/Ensure the technical design/code structure  is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management.
  • Provide professional consultancy/support immediately for application teams’ queries/requests.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
  • Educate and coach the team on Scrum practices and Agile principles.
  • Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
  • Ensure that the team follows Scrum processes and practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and expectations are managed.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Solid and proficient skills in Java, Spring Framework, Web Service, JSON, RAML.
  • Knowledge or experience in Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) and API design with implementation experience on any ESB tools (e.g. IIB , Kong, MQ, SpringBoot).
  • Knowledge and experience of DevOps, Microservice, Restful API, Agile concepts. SAFe Agilist certificate is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Splunk, Jira/Confluence, AppD, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, DDL and database design.
  • Solid knowledge of BDD, Continuous Integration, Selenium, continuous deployment and testing.
  • Solid knowledge of external cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, or Ali Cloud
  • Track record in working on the delivery of complex deployment projects and under diversified/ matrix structure.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and roles, familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective), strong meeting facilitation skills to ensure productive and focused discussions.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members on Scrum practices and Agile principles, support team members in their professional development.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning, ability to drive process improvements within the team.
  • Strong business sense with good understanding in how IT systems impact business objectives.
  • Strong communication, presentation & influencing skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments.
  • Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good command of written and spoken English. Mandarin is also preferred.
  • Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions, API deployment & production support.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Willing to learn/explore various technologies especially in Integration domain.
