We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Markets & Sec Services IT
Principal responsibilities
- Works with business users, downstream stakeholders and business analysts to recommend viable IT solutions to meet the requirements
- Works with project team to perform end-to-end delivery of the project, with output including requirement analysis, architecture / solution design, coding, testing (manually and automated), releasing and defect fixing with required visibility.
- Produces documentations and conducts elaborations on solutions to ensure maintainability and smooth implementation.
- Production support and incident reaction as part of the global team.
- Takes ownership of major components / projects to make sound technical decisions to delivery reasonable and cost-efficient solutions with good maintainability, and supports the team members to implement the solution with good quality.
- Participates and supports team’s events / activities and helps in team’s continuous improvements in delivery productivity, collaboration and visibility.
Requirements
- Core skills like Java, Spring, Unit/Integration testing, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, XSLT, Unix Shell Scripting
- Experience in design for technical architecture / solutions with requirement in high-availability, high performance and scalability to create business value
- Experience of owning or leading the delivery a Java-based service / module with certain complexity
- Good communication skills enabling efficient discussion, meeting facilitation and presentation while proficient in both Mandarin and English
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capability
- A faster learner with curiosity and passion in technology, who keeps updating his/her knowledge and has his/her own technical expertise area(s)
- Ability to deal with pressure and calmness in urgent / stressing situation
- A team player
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Experience in building service on cloud (especially AliCloud)
- Knowledge of Hadoop stack, search, high performance libraries
- Experience in production support
- Experience in agile software development and continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD)
- Domain knowledge in banking - trade life-cycle and post trade processing for financial investment products
